Jamie Vardy Resmi Perpanjang Kontrak dengan Leicester City, Siap Bawa The Foxes Finis Setinggi Mungkin

JAMIE Vardy resmi perpanjang kontrak dengan Leicester City. Striker asal Inggris itu pun menegaskan menyetujui tawaran itu tanpa halangan berarti. Dia pun siap membawa Leicester finis setinggi mungkin musim ini.

Dalam kesepakatan terbaru, Vardy dikontrak Leicester City hingga 2024. Sebelumnya, Vardy telah menjadi bagian penting yang dimiliki oleh Leicester sejak 2012.

Pemain berusia 35 tahun itu pun berhasil membantu Leicester untuk memenangkan gelar Liga Inggris. Hal itu terjadi pada 2016.

 Setelah mengetahui Leicester memberikan tawaran untuk memperpanjang kontraknya, Vardy pun merasa sangat senang. Tidak membutuhkan waktu lama, dirinya pun langsung menyetujui penawaran tersebut.

“Saya jelas sangat senang. Begitu saya mendengar itu adalah sesuatu yang sedang dilihat oleh klub,” ungkap Jamie Vardy, dilansir dari laman resmi Leicester City, Sabtu (20/8/2022).

“Hanya ada satu hal yang akan terjadi, dan saya akan menandatanganinya. Keputusan itu mudah,” tambahnya.

Vardy mengatakan bahwa dirinya telah mengalami cukup banyak pasang surut bersama Leicester City selama ini. Hal itu pun membuat dirinya ingin terus memberikan kemampuan terbaiknya untuk tim asuhan Brendan Rodgers tersebut.

“Ini adalah perjalanan yang naik turun, tetapi saya pikir Anda dapat melihat dengan cara kami mencoba bermain, cara yang diinginkan klub, bahwa itu akan terus maju dan naik,” sambung Vardy.

Selain itu, Vardy menegaskan bahwa saat ini dirinya fokus untuk memberikan hasil terbaik untuk Leicester. Dirinya pun merasa sangat optimis tetap mampu untuk menunjukkan kemampuan terbaiknya hingga dua tahun ke depan.

 “Anda harus berkonsentrasi di sini dan sekarang dan ini semua tentang musim ini dan finis setinggi mungkin. Kaki saya masih terasa hebat jadi, untuk melanjutkannya,” pungkasnya.
