Why go to Siberia

Why go to Siberia

Most tourists planning a vacation look towards warm countries, abundant food and a sun lounger on the beach. Well, maybe we'll go on a couple of excursions, that's all the vacation. However, our world is so big and vast that maybe it's worth giving up the usual "all inclusive" and trying tours to Russia?

Traveling to Siberia may seem unrealistic to many, but in fact it is an amazing land. Once you have visited it, you will never be able to forget it, which means you need to make the right choice.

Considering that many have forgotten their geography course at school, it is worth recalling that the Siberian region stretches from the Ural Mountains to the Far East and crosses our continent from the Arctic Ocean to Asia. Since it is difficult to imagine this, we will only say that it takes about three days to travel by train from the western borders to the eastern ones. This is the land of oil, strong men and the same frosts.

Don't think that during your trip to Siberia you will have to live in tents and eat pine cones. No, it is possible, but only if you choose this type of vacation for yourself. There are excellent hotels in Siberian cities, such as Severnoe More, where you will have not only comfortable rooms, but also infrastructure at your service.

But at the same time, all Siberian cities are not alike. The huge Novosibirsk is a forge of personnel in various fields of science, because the local university still leads the list of Russian universities. There is also a metro here, which only a few cities can boast, as well as an Opera House. And in Omsk there are as many as ten drama theaters, and in each of them there are bright and touching productions. Irkutsk is a city that is closely connected with the difficult fate of the Decembrists and, of course, stunning nature.

And one of the main pearls of not only Russia, but the whole world is Lake Baikal, which is located not far from Irkutsk. Here everyone will find their own adventure, from long hikes and rafting to climbing the Eastern Sayan Mountains. But if you think that you should only go to Baikal in the summer, then we will reveal a little secret. According to seasoned travelers, wishes made on Baikal on New Year's Eve always come true.
